Apo. Oh how you are missed.

Gloria Nunes – (grandma/Nana) visiting Apo on what would be his 100th birthday.

On Monday February 18th, my father sent me this image of my Nana visiting Apo for his Birthday.

It reminds me of when I used to hear the words “No Regrets” as a response to people, who would ask him how he was. At the time I didn’t really understand what he meant since I was so young when I first heard him say it, but as I got older it became a little more clear to me.

No regrets means so much to me as I am now a husband and a father.

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of Wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

Every moment to me with my wife and children becomes just that much more precious, that I make sure each and every single one of them knows just how much I love them by telling them as well as letting them know in their own love language.

Thank you so much for this wisdom Apo, and happy belated birthday. You are missed greatly by your wife, your sons, your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We love you so, so much and I can’t wait to meet up with you and ask “How are you?”

Only to have you respond, “Oh Benny, no regrets.”
