Madi,
You are now 8 years old, and I can’t believe it was 8 years ago God showed Kim and I our first (of many) true miracles through you, in your 3 day stay at the hospital.
As a middle child you have proven yourself to break the mold and stereotype of a typical “Middle Child.” You have a true identity, you know when you are heard and your independence to go out and be your own little person impresses me to no end.
As a father, I am extremely blessed to be able to watch you grow into a little lady who is creative beyond our wildest imaginations, who makes us laugh with your outrageous jokes, and who reminds me every day what a joy it is to be able to call you…
…my daughter.
Your mother and I love you with all of our hearts, and although we are not perfect, we strive to show you what and how God’s perfect love should look like. You affirm that we are doing the right thing, by showing us how much you love your lil’ bro and older sis’. Thank you.
As this next year passes along, I look forward to taking you to school and listen to you pray for your brother and sister, our special 15 minutes before church, and I can’t wait to hear what crazy jokes your mind comes up with. I am also looking forward to seeing how many goals you’ll score in soccer, and most of all how you are slowly but surely beginning to have a faith of your own.
I thank God for you. I love you, my Madi.

Congratulations, Ben! 😀
Daughters are great–and the relationships they have with their daddy’s are so important. Looks like you have a good one.
Ah dude, she’s eight? She acts so much older.
Happy (belated) birthday, Madison!
