Venezuela ~ Day 2

Ben —  June 26, 2011 — 11 Comments

Yesterday was full of getting to know our group, trying out some different food and flying.

A ton of flying.

Oh yeah, and waiting… we did a lot of that too. Of course, when waiting we played a lot of cards, talked, and joked around a good bit. We have a ton of jokers, this will be important when we start working out on the field and get tired and hot.

We’ll see.

So on to day 2. We’ll be updating as often as we can.

  1. Bad things happen to good people. Wow, have I seen that. What impresses and troubles me more is that bad things, sometimes very bad things, happen to very innocent people. Then, there is the life you are handed. While I grew up poor, it wasn’t until I ventured out to find that I didn’t grow up VERY poor. There was always opportunity and far above all, there was hope. With hope always in sight, I, and probably many others like me, took it for granted. Not so much anymore. Ben, if you guys do nothing else, I am sure you will bring hope to someone that really needs it. I still struggle with the innocent victims with very hard lives. I’m ok with that and I will thank God for giving me the gift of feeling, of not being numb. I also thank Him for putting you and Kim on task! Far be it for me to judge, but if I can venture an opinion, I think He picked the right two people in the world for this.

ps…may your water filter be effective and your Cipro be handy. Good luck!

  5. Ask and indeed someone will make it happen! Lyrics aqui, pero no libro o cuaderno que contiene trozos de música, lo siento!

    Tengo para ti,
    pasión en el alma,
    tengo mis locuras
    quiero compartirlas contigo.

    Si tan solo tú,
    abrieras tu alma
    y me brindaras la oportunidad
    que tanto añoro y
    que tanto deseo
    desde hace ya tiempo

    (coro)
    Yo te amare
    tengo dibujada una vida contigo
    no importa el pasado
    ya esta en el olvido
    ven abre tus alas
    vuela conmigo
    que tengo un sueño
    ser mas que tu amigo.

    Yo te amare
    tengo dibujada una vida contigo
    no importa el pasado
    ya esta en el olvido
    ven abre tus alas
    vuela conmigo
    que tengo un sueño
    ser mas que tu amigo.

    que tengo un sueño
    ser mas que tu amigo.

    • Ben! So sorry, that one was wrong! Yikes! Here are the lyrics you are looking for. I copy/pasted the wrong song…!

      [coro]
      Amame,
      sin mas vengüenzas,
      sin un capricho,
      sin una pena.

      Te amare,
      no importa el pasado,
que vivire un dia a la vez,
      un dia a la vez.
