Mexico ~ Day 3

Yesterday was pretty awesome, and we’re all definitely looking forward to work today even though I know it’s going to be a lot of cement mixing and bucket/brick carrying. I can’t wait to see how certain people react and adjust. Hopefully we can all remember to stay hydrated and not over-exert ourselves.

I’ve experienced that personally, and seen it on others. It’s never pretty.

I also can’t wait to see the interaction between Kim and Kiersten when working under these conditions. I mean, these girls are rockstars so I have no doubt they’ll continue to do so.

God I’m so blessed.

Mexico ~ Day 2

I just realized, this will be my 6th short term mission trip and out of all of them this is the most people with whom I have traveled. It’s pretty amazing seeing God work in the lives of so many individuals all at once using the same atmosphere and environment. I would say this is probably my favorite thing to witness.

Don’t get me wrong, I truly believe the work we will be doing will be a huge deal to the local people in Merida, but when we leave that’s it. No follow up, no “walking” along side them, nothing.

Thank you guys!

Venezuela ~ Day 9

7 hours of sleep never felt so awesome, and for all the wrong that has gone on for the past 27 hours, I think our team is in great spirits considering. Last nights devotion on the small peninsula on the beach will definitely be a memory none of us will ever forget. I wouldn’t trade that moment for anything.

I’m a little nervous about what God has in store for us today, but I think our team is pretty resilient and we can face almost anything at this point.

I just want to be hugging on my family all kinds, just like the rest of us. Continue Reading…
